I bought this as a gift for my sister who loves primer but decided to keep it for myself. Im not a primer user at all but i fell in love with this product. I didnt really 'get it' at first ( its a little sticky) until i realized that every single time i used it i got compliments about my perfect skin. I think ive been using it wrong tho. I didnt realize it was supposed to go under as i dab it on top of my finished make up like powder but it sets it in place all day long. Either way i would definately buy it again. It works for me & i like the compliments.

I have been a fan of Dr P's products for over a decade and happy with most of his products. I purchased this product about a month ago and have only used it twice and it irritates my skin. The substance has a waxy feel that fills in pours and gives a matte finish. If you're looking for something with light coverage it had no properties of coverage. The product is more of a primer than a make-up. I have a bit of rosecea that is controlled with Cold Plasma and this Instant Blur gave me a breakout.

Skin broke out after using.
This created break outs for me. Very disappointed. I wish I could return it but I also tried a sample they gave me so I wasn't sure which product created the problem. After my skin cleared up I tried the instant blur again and sure enough I broke out.

Inconsistent application directions
The application instructions on the box indicate to use Instant Blur on bare skin "or over makeup to set in place." I attempted to apply this product over my makeup, but all it did was smear my makeup no matter how carefully I tried to pat it on so it actually clumped it and patted it right off in other places because the product is somewhat sticky as you pat it on. When I checked the application instructions on the website... it indicates to apply the product on bare skin or use as a primer before makeup. So what is the actual proper application for this product... over or under makeup?

What a waste of money. It does none of the "pros" as advertised. When I did drag it onto my face, it fought with my foundation. Worthless.

I much prefer the less-is-more approach to makeup, especially as I've gotten older. I remember my best friend and I vowing to each other when we were little that we would never wear powder, as we judged the older ladies of our church go by with their chalky faces! And I've never gone back on that, but now I've found the supposed benefits of powder without the bad side effects: Instant Blur! Foundation alone gives a slight sheen to my face, especially the fine lines around my eyes, but a few pats of Blur take them away like magic, and also hide the pores on my nose. I didn't expect much from this product, but I really like it.

I have been using Dr. Perricone products for years. This product is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I was using another product for my enlarged pores and to hold my makeup in place. It doesn't even compare to Dr. Perricone's No Makeup Instant Blur and this product is cheaper than what I was using. Absolutely LOVE IT! I would highly recommend this product. Best Product Ever.
I have been left with scarring, uneven skin texture and redness from severe cystic acne in my teens with the occasional occurrence of a cystic acne pimple which lasts several weeks and always scars, ingrown hair from shaving and some slight pigmentation from sun. I have tried every known cover up/concealer/peel ever invented at every price point. As a male while not opposed to using cover up products due to my skin being marked, none has ever been as immediately successful as this. It does what it says and leaves my skin (oily/combination/sensitive) in good, non greasy condition. I actually believe it improves the skin texture with regular use. It tones down imperfections perfectly in an imperceptible way. I have been using this for over 5 weeks daily in the morning and reapply if necessary depending on my schedule (meetings, work functions). This has given me amazing confidence. While my acne seems to be a recurring nightmare, at least when it hits and what remains can be taken care of with this, for me, the best product ever.
